A Distant Happy Hour: for Women

TGIF for isolated Ladies. Kelly and Sonia pour a glass of wine, do a virtual toast, (you don't have to have wine to come! lol) we dive past the superficial negative self talk we are often dishing out onto ourselves, and go underneath that, into the deeper questions that we are all actually asking.

About the event

First Question we will be looking at is if the following is true for us, on some, or perhaps many levels?:

"Feeling the need to be busy all the time is a trauma resonse and a fear-based distraction from what you'd be forced to acknowledge and feel if you slowed down"

Is that maybe you in some ways?

We're gonna take a look at what it means to have that glass of wine or that chocolate cake, mindfully, how doing that can really help and keep it heathy and moderate.

If this appeals to you, then read on...

Kelly and Sonia met over a yoga retreat a while back. They both presented workshops at "The Heart of Winter" Yoga retreat back in December of 2018, attended each others workshops and realized that their workshops completed each other. It was very Jerry McGuire. 6 months later they joined forces to present a joint workshop called "The Struggle is Real" during Morden's Mental Health Week.

Sonia is a Nutritional Therapist, an Employee Wellness Strategist and Public Speaker with international experience in the wellness industry. She's also a bit funny and VERY real. Not gonna lie, this hour of solidarity and collective expression will be funny, will have tears - it's not for kids.

Kelly is the Director of Adult Education here in Morden and she is currently half way through her Masters in Counselling Psychology. She's got a great energy and an attitude ;) You can find out more about her and follow her on Instagram at her new account @thebuddingtherapist.

Sonia and Kelly know real life, real struggle and they know the psycology and the biology of stress, feminine guilt, past conditioning, and all the mothering of everything we do - they get it. They will share thier own current struggles now with Covid-19 and will ask the deeper questions they have been asking about themselves and us collectively. This will give your heart some nourishment that you've been missing and it will move some of those pent up fears and tears up and out -  and - it will give you some kinder questions to ask yourself.

Join us. It's free but you gotta BYOB ;) or tea, or coffee, or chocolate cake, whatever works. Steph is bringing chips and salsa.
