Unmothered: finding your pack
"....When a woman has the ambivalent mother construct in her own psyche, she may find herself giving in too easily; she may find herself afraid to take a stand, to demand respect, to assert her right to do it, learn it, live it in her own way." ~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D.

About the Event
At our first "Mommy Matters" event we handed out a questionnaire. One of the questions listed a few topics for future events and asked the respondents to check off which ones interested in them. 75% of them checked off "Mothering the unmothered parts of ourselves to be better mothers." So we are responding - Please join us for "Unmothered: Finding your pack" with Sonia Funk:
This will be a two hour workshop facilitated by Sonia Funk, assisted by Steph Rempel. Together we will begin by exploring ourselves as mothers through old stories, new stories and our own stories: in the context of the culture and archetypes that we operate in. We want to start the process of unearthing and empowering the mother we know we are meant to be. To have a real shift take place in our lives we have no choice but to take a look at unhelpful paradigms and programs that we have subconsciously adopted and are heavily influenced by. Discovery and understanding is the first step. Dismanteling and healing is the next. If there is a lot of interest in this type of work, we will do more...
*Note* This is for all women - we welcome all versions of what it means to mother and nurture someone or something or somewhere... and hey, we all have or had a mother... so that counts too ;)
PS. The event will be in Morden - in my home. I decided to make it a little cozier than a rented venue will be. You will get my address after you register.
